Hallo guys. I wanna tell you something about the brandnew NORTH SAILS ID Ultralight 2012! I got the sizes 4,2 and 4,7m² down here to Greece already. I really have to say that I totally in love with this sails. The weight is just unbelieveable. They feel so so light and direct. Also the handling in the moves is incredible, especially for all the moves with sail-ducking before. If you are a light sailor who is searching for a light sails with amazing freestyle properties, than the is only one choice: The new ID! If you have any more questions, contact me.

Hey guys. Sardegna was really really nice, but unfortunately we didn't have so much wind. However I could score some really good conditions in order to train. Now, I will be soon off to Greece again in order to train and give some freestyle clinics and equipment explanations for the CLUP MISTRAL customers. Stay tuned for more action coming up soon... ;)

Hey folks! I hope you are all fine... Yes, I know, I didnt publish any big news lately but due to lots of work and my broken car, I didnt have so much time to plan a big trip. But now my car is running again and spring is knocking on our doors.

Now we had some sunny days and moderate westwinds. I was searching for some new spots around my home but unfortunately I had to escape from the police and some wanna be conservationist, because it was not really allowed to windsurf there... :)

Anyways I am fully prepared for the upcoming season and hope to get some windy periods at the dutch coast, in order to train a little before the upcoming contests.

Another plan is to go to Sardegna again around the 1st of Mai. So we will see how everything comes.

Broken car...

Hi to all out there. Actually I was planning to go on a nice trip to Tarifa end of february. Unfortunately my car crossed my plans. I have to repair the fuel pump and other small damages which came along with the leaking pump. All in all I have to pay around 1.800 €!! However I am just postponing my trip and probably do some other plans... Maybe I will do some small trips to the dutch coast and than in may roundtrip for the competitions. Starting for the PWA in Podersdorf, going to Sardegna for about 2 weeks and than straight to the EFPT on the beautiful island of Lefkada. I hope my car will be ready in about one week so that I can finalize my plans.

Hi guys. After a long cold period with no wind at all, we finally got some nice winds and not too low temperatures. I was using my 4,7 ICE and 90L Skate. Normally I dont go sailing at the lake close to my home because it is really gusty and often not as windy as predicted. Lately I didnt sail a lot because of the freezing conditions, so I went to the lake and I had a really nice session.

In the moment I am stuck in pretty much work and some schoolstuff, but by the end of the month its getiing a bit calmer and I can go for another trip to Sardegna, Tarifa or somewhere else, in order to train a bit before the upcoming contest!

Hi everybody. I had 3 great days in Holland with my friends. One day was very strong and I could train some new moves on flatwater with my 4,2 ICE! We took some small movies and I hope to get the footage soon from my friend!

PWA World Cup Sylt 2010 24.09. - 03.10.2010

This year I got a chance to start at the biggest PWA Worldcup there is on the tour. On Sylt, the PWA runs Wave, Slalom and last but not least, my discipline: Freestyle!

It has been a really really nice event which took place 9 days. It was quite cold for me up there on Sylt, because I came directly from Greece. Due to the lack of wind, we could only run a Single-Elimination.

My first opponent was the good sailing frenchman Maxime GAUBERT F-499.
Like I mentioned before, the wind was really light and I was used
to stronger winds because of my summer on Karpathos. However I could manage to beat my opponent in hardly planing conditions.
This day, we were only able to run the first round and posponed on the other day.

So, I advanced in the 2nd round, where Jose "Gollito" Estredo V-01 was already waiting for me. I knew I had nothing to loose and wanted to show my best. The wind was even lighter at this day and the heat duration was set to 12 minutes!!! All in all I was totally underpowered on my 5,3 and my 90l Board.
Gollito showed some impressive moves and proved again, why he is now the 4th time Freestyle World Champion.

Anyways, I was not sad or angry. I was looking forward to the double elimination in maybe stronger winds, so that I could maybe advance some rounds and to see that my training in summer, with all the injuries, was not senseless.

All in all, we didnt run a Double-Elimination, because the winds were much to offshore and the head-judge decided to run the slalom.

In the end I ended up in 17th position and I have to say that it was a really really nice event and really well organized!

Karpathos Summer 2010

Hi Guys. Here is a small summery of my summertraining on the greek island Karpathos.

It was actually my 8th time I spent my summer on Karpathos. But this year everything was a bit different. I stayed longer as planed and was injured quite all the time I was there.
After my motorbike accident during the EFPT Event on Lefkada, I spent just one week at home, before I went down south! For the first 3-4 Weeks I still had big problemes mit my wounded foot! I could only sail on half power and every move was very painful and the saltwater did a good job, in order to keep the wounds open. I was really happy when those wounds were finally closed and I was sailing all day long. But that I had a horrible crash on my boom and I probably broke 2 of my ribs which brought alone a horrible pain all the rest of my stay. Only with strong painkillers I was able to go windsurfing and sleep in the night.

After all those circumstances, I have to say that I had all in all a wonderful time again!
I worked as kind of freelancer for CLUB MISTRAL KARPATHOS ! Next to some prviate lesson I offered equipment-clinics to the clients, in order to tell them all about the new NORTH SAILS and FANATIC boards.
